Fabric Flowers & Spring Wreath

My attempts at bringing some spring into my home started with the wreath above. This is my good ole' standby yarn wrapped wreath. I use it for every season! The earth toned yarn with hints of turquoise is perfect all year round...I just add different pieces each season. For instance, at Christmas I had some snowflake ornaments hanging inside it and now for spring, I jazzed it up with some fabric flowers!

Supplies

Yarn wrapped wreath
Strips of scrap fabric in various lengths and colors
Glue gun
Felt
Pins

 1. Cut out a circle of felt in the size you want-this is the backing for your flower (you can also use paper or cardboard-but I think felt is better for pushing pins through-which you'll need to put your wreath together!)
2. Take a piece of scrap fabric and knot it at the end. Glue it to the center of your felt circle.
3. Start twisting the fabric around the knot in the middle, twisting and twisting... till you can't twist no more (I sang that in my head...hehe).
4. Once you reach the end of the fabric you can glue the end to the front of the flower or do as I did and glue it to the back of the felt, whatever you like!

Tada!

Using some pins-attach your flowers to your wreath. For some I pushed the pins right through the flower center.

For others I tucked them out of sight. Either way, you get a beautiful wreath that is interchangeable season after season!
