Toddler Food

So I guess I'm pretty lucky that Gray practically eats anything in front of him...well, depending on the day! LOL! As in, for a whole week he will want bananas at every meal, then the next week he won't touch them. Or at supper when he has carrots on his plate, he won't touch them, but then later as I'm putting teh leftover carrots in the fridge, he wants to eat them! Or peas he will eat frozen but not cooked...

Anyway, you get the picture...

Now, with Westyn starting 'solids' (why do they say that anyway, when really it is puree's that he 'starting' with?), I am starting to think about what he will be eating down the road. I remember being stumped as to what to feed Gray when he was not quite a year but so done with puree's, I did a ton of reasearch on line for homecooked toddler meals. I sometimes forget that 'little' people aren't like adults and really don't care that they eat the same thing everyday! But I wanted him to have variety...

So I was on Pinterest today (duh!) and lookee what I found...

These little meals are absolutely adorable! Please go to Wendolonia and check our her amazing Lunch Box Ideas...

Obviously I will be waiting awhile till I make Westyn one of these bad boys...but Gray woud love this right now!!

Do you guys have any unique fun ways to feed your kids?

I agree that stage between baby food and eating what we're having is a difficult one. My girls ate lots of peas, carrots, toast and beans. I'm always blown away by cute lunches I see on Pinterest. The most I've done is use a cookie cutter on a sandwich.
