My Little Heartthrobs

Are you drooling yet? I know, maybe a bit inappropriate to be drooling over my 3.5 year old...but TUG. AT.HEARTSTRINGS....yes, he does.

It also doesn't feel appropriate that I am looking at this sweet little boy above, when really he's been a sweet little devil that pulled several tantrums today, hit his brother, ran away from me when I told him to stop something, and that refused to go to bed before 9pm while bawling and screaming for his mommy.

The same sweet little angel that told me he wanted me to come with him and his Daddy to the store yesturday cause he loved me. And then gave me a hug.

And then this one. My cuddler. My instigator. Ohhh, there's another one that tugs at my heartstrings.

I think I may have my hands full later on in life;)

18 Months

It's sometimes hard to believe where the time goes...no matter how hard I try and slow it down or try to savor every last bit of this precious life, something someone is always changing or growing.

This little guy used to cradle perfectly into my arms his little button nose no bigger then nickle. Now, when I cradle him in my arms, his bum sticks way out, his head bangs off of door ways {not that it happens} and his feet kick wildly through every diaper change!

At the beginning of the summer he attempted to go down the slide for the first time, he needed our help getting up the ladder, and we held his hand as he went down. It was so nerve racking watching him do it himself, wondering if he was going to fall or miss a step...

Now, if we even reached out our hand to guide him, he pushes it away and shakes his head!

It really does fly by way too fast....Happy 18 Months Westyn!

HE WALKS!

Westyn has started walking!!! Friday was the big day and he's been on a role every since!!! Here's a little video for you taken on Saturday...(please ignore my over excited voice-LOL!-and the ladder in the background-and Gray's wonderful singing-LOL-he's my little wannabe rockstar!) Anyway....

My Little One Year Old!!!

I'm back!!!! Phew, it was a long week. I was having major withdrawal symptoms. It's one thing to have a planned break and quite another to have a major unplanned disruption. But my computer is back, virus is gone and files are all in the right place! I am now working on backing up everything. I know, I know, your supposed to back up all the time, I just find it annoying, but I guess not as annoying as losing everything...so that is my project tonight after I reply to a bazillion emails and share something with you guys...

Westyn is ONE!!!

One year ago, yesterday morning I was holding this gorgeous little beautiful baby boy for the first time. I can't believe that a year has flown by already!

At 25 pounds and just branching out into the world of walking (he stands on his own and pushes things around), this blue eyed cutie pie is such a happy little cuddler. He loves putting things together and stacking blocks, always trying to figure out how something goes inside the other. He goes nuts for Cheerios and loves looking out the front window!

Wordless Wednesday-The Door

This door seems to be the source of lots of fun in this house...nearly two years ago I was taking photos of Gray doing the same thing, with the same door. While Gray came running (crawling) anytime he heard the door open cause he wanted up the stairs, Westyn comes crawiling anytime I have left the door open, cause he wants to open and shut it and play behind the glass...the very dirty glass! It is clean now, I promise, but probably not for long!

 

Mouth gobbers on the glass is the best isn't it!?

Our weekend started out good enough...

Giggles, screeches and two boys playing by themselves...

I popped my head around their tent, camera in hand to see what was so hilarious! Apparently taking Westyn's pants off was giggle worthy for these two boys!! The above photo is the first one I took-definitely 'caught in the act'.

Our weekend slowly went down hill...

Our little guy was up Friday night sick...I don't think I've changed so many sheets and jammies in one night!

The poor dude is just so out of sorts....

So I feel incredibly bad for him, but quite enjoy all the cuddles I've been getting lately!

The sun however, was so gorgeous all weekend!

Dear Westyn

Dear Westyn,

I can't believe that you are already 10 months old. It seems like only yesterday that you joined our family. Somehow in the last month you've transformed from being a quiet sleeping baby into one very busy boy! You love to climb and much to my dismay you have mastered our very steep stairs all the way to the top!! You take any chance you can to get to a higher place, including using me and your daddy as a jungle gym. It took awhile for you to figure out how to move those knees and arms the right way to crawl, and you still do the bum scoot when you want to get to something really fast, but you've mastered crawling and walking is on it's way soon! Your first word was 'Cheeeeese', that's a pure sign that I have my camera out way to much! I think I may have heard cup bup a few times too...

Your favorite food is Cheerios. We can't even get the box out of the cupboard without you freaking out and waving your arms madly! I gave you some in a bowl on the floor the other day and you very carefully took them out without knocking over the bowl! 

I know you love your big brother very much and he loves you too, although he sure doesn't show it lately. Screaming 'NO' at you and pushing you away before you've even had a chance to take his cars away...I know that's not fun and I am sorry he's being such a grump to you. He means well and will hopefully work through whatever it is soon, so just keep smiling cutie pie. One day you will be bigger then him and payback will be a bitch.

In just a few short months you will be one year old and I am not sure if I am ready for that day to come cause your still my little baby. Somethings will never change though...your precious smile that always brightens our days, your contagious laugh and those baby blue eyes of yours that get me everytime!

Wordless Wendesdays: Brothers & Cheerios

Westyn has recently discovered a love for Cheerios...he literally shakes with excitement when he sees the box. No matter how much he loves them though, he is always willing to share with his big brother.

Westyn raises his right hand out in the air as if to wave hi and then reaches over to Grayson's chair...it's so sweet. I love witnessing the bond that the two of them are making. Although there are plenty of times when that bond ends in Westyn falling over and banging his head on the floor or him crying because Grayson has shut him out of his room. It's the laughter that really gets me. Westyn's deep little chuckle as Grayson tickles his face or plays peek a boo with him...that's what brothers are made of.
