WIWW-My Mom Look

Although my closet is overflowing with pretty & stylish clothes{I've worked in retail for well over 12 years, and I love fashion!}, the majority of those clothes are my 'weekend work clothes.' During the week, with two little's running around, those pretty pieces in my closet give way to 'drool' proof items...

...and this is about as good as it gets when I'm hanging out at home, surrounded by mega blocks and paint, tractors and farms and a suspicious sticky mess on the floor. This is what I would wear if I knew someone was coming over, or if we were going to play group. It's my cool comfort look and much more presentable then the yoga pants that are usually on my body.

I like to play with patterns and color & cardigans are my favorite! The perfect piece to layer over top a flowy tee!

...and something about distressed, soft, brushed denim-so comfy!

What does your cool, casual mom style look like?

'Mom' look? Nah. You look adorable! During the week I get dressed and apply at least a little makeup so I'm presentable in public. Most of my fellow students don't seem to go to the same effort. I feel like I am swimming in a sea of sweatpants with either 'Pink' or 'Juicy' on the butt (admittedly, I'm probably 10+ years older than most of them, but still). I will say that if we stay home on the weekends, elastic waist pants (minus the heinie embellishment) are my go-to. The only difference is that I rarely dare to walk around in my house in just socks...there is nothing more painful that a razor-sharp Lego corner to the arch of my foot. Slippers are a must. :)

since i work outside the home, i'm forced to dress up. but as soon as i get home i change into leggings/yoga pants and a sweater or tank depending on the weather. that's pretty much what i'd be wearing if i stayed home everyday!
