Some Snow Fun!

Winter has finally arrived! We've had constant white fluffy stuff falling since Thursday evening and it's created a nice little blanket of white all around. I am so happy to see the rainy, mild weather leave (seriously, my lilac bush has buds on it-in January!!!) I was really excited to get out of the house and take a break from the kitchen. So while Daddy did 'man' work and Westyn was sleeping, Gray and I snuck outside for some winter fun!

Funny, when we go outside in the summer, he doesn't eat grass. Of course, like all of us, it's just so tempting not too, especially when it's all white and sparkly, right?!

Nothing like a little roll in the snow to bring back memories of being a kid myself! Definetly goes to show that it is the little things in life that make it lovely!

Spring will not be springing

By the looks of things, Spring will not be springing anytime soon...at least not in my neck of the woods...

Hello blog friends! Happy Sunday morning...

There's a storm brewing here, but you would never know it by listening to the calming sounds of the morning. Little feet pattering around while mommy and daddy make breakfast, the water pouring from the kettle, the stirring of the spoon in the coffee cup, Christmas music in the background (it's usually Treehouse-but the satelite is down thanks to the snow). Thoughts of pretty paper to wrap gifts in, warm, comforting smells coming from the oven as shortbread cook...these are all plans of a great day to come!
