WW-Boys and their Toys

My house is usually scattered with dinky cars, mega blocks and construction toys, but on this fine day, the arrival of my niece brought out some new toys.

My old Barbie Dolls to be exact...

Wordless{ish} Wednesdays-The Haircut

A very special shout out to all my American friends! Happy 4th of July!! And a very special hello to anyone new stopping by from the Red, White & You Follow Fest :)

Grayson, my 3 year old, has always had this thick & curly gorgeous hair. But with the weather being super hot these last few weeks and his Mama sick of trying to get a certain little boy to let us wash it every night {sand, dirt, sweat-nasty mess!}, it had to go! I kept mentioning to him that he was going to get a haircut and well, the day finally came. Before we set off to the cottage this past weekend we got out the clippers for his first real 'boy' cut.

Oh, I am going to miss those curls...

Everything started out ok, but ended in tears and a small chunk of hair on his right side {cough} that is 'missing'....that's too long of a story right now...but anyhow, it's done and it looks really good!

He's so grown up now and totally deserved a freezie after all that!

Wordless{ish} Wednesday~Baking Cookies

A couple weeks ago I gave Westyn a little baby biscuit after supper for dessert, Gray of course said 'me too', so I handed him one and he made a face...'no, a round one,' he said. Apparently, the baby Mum Mum was not what he had in mind...

MMM...what to do...?

...let's make cookies!

Of course when baking with little ones, things are not always tidy...

Yep, you saw this pic already...I thought we would make some oatmeal cookies, well...that didn't happen because most of the oatmeal ended up in the grabage. I mean, you betcha I scooped some of that back into the container, but there still wasn't quite enough for cookies...

So we made a small batch of baby oatmeal and banana biscuits and...

....chocolate chip for us...mmm!
